So I am really the opposite of weekend inspiration right now. I need to stay fairly close to home and the couch has a nice spot with my name on it. I try to get in my weekend morning workout, which I need because I do feel better after walking or lifting weights, but then I am just limited to a few afternoon activities at this point. Plus, it is football season and there are so many great games to keep you occupied when you just want the time to fly by.

Here are my three ideas for a fun, festive weekend:

1. Attend an Oktoberfest! {Eat and Drink} This weekend in the Bay Area, grab some brats and brews at the Redwood City Oktoberfest! Make sure to purchase your ticket in advance because they only have two seating times for Saturday. Enjoy the music and entertainment, then have another brat! If you are not in the area, then host your own Oktoberfest at home. Grab a variety of German brews, some brats and sauerkraut, and make a feast for your family or friends.

2. Decorate your home. {Transform} Have you pulled out your favorite fall decor and cozy fall blankets?! Time to get into the fall spirit and transform your space into autumn hues. If you are looking to update your living room or purchase some fun Halloween signs for your house, then check out Home Goods, Target, or Pier One. You can score some deals and improve your space without over spending.

3. Plan a romantic (or adventurous) fall getaway. {Travel} If I was still living on the east coast, we would be searching for the best of the fall foliage, taking weekend drives, and staying at a cabin in the mountains or foothills during peak season. Here you have a to drive a bit further north to really enjoy the fall leaves, but now is the perfect time to plan a romantic cabin weekend away. My husband and I have yet to go to Tahoe together and I want to reserve a cabin for a weekend before everyone else starts booking for the holidays and ski season. Plus, it will give you something to look forward to once it gets cold and chilly. Just think of yourself with a nice book, a cozy fireplace, and your favorite person by your side.

What are your weekend plans?! Have a wonderful fall weekend.
