Truly Thankful

Give Thanks with a Thankful Heart

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on all the good in our lives. For me, Thanksgiving is about connecting with family and friends, as well as sharing gratitude.

Despite a very rough and difficult start to 2014, I have so much to be grateful for this year. The greatest gift of all was the birth of our daughter. A healthy baby is all we could have asked for and watching her grow and sharing that experience with my husband has been extremely rewarding. Cuddling, kissing, and rocking my baby is the best kind of day for me and I am so thankful I am home now to enjoy these moments. This fall, my husband and I were able to buy a home, and it is not the home itself I am thankful for, it is the concept of having a “home” for our daughter in this area. We will have a neighborhood and a new sense of community that we have not had here while renting. I think we will finally feel settled and will be able to comfortably welcome overnight guests in 2015 to our new home.

I am also so thankful for my dear family and friends. We have been showered by love and blessings for our little girl since we shared that I was pregnant. I find such support and love from these wonderful people in my life and truly appreciate these relationships!

I am so fortunate for our new start in 2015 and look forward to being even more involved in community outreach next year. I think it is also especially important this time of year to think about those in need and if you are able, donate your time to local charities in your community.

Here’s to a turkey day filled with good food, wonderful friends, and new memories. And of course, go Niners!

I would love to hear what are you most thankful for this year.

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving!
