Happy, happy Friday!
Today is one of my best friend’s 30-something birthday and I am wishing her a warm weekend snuggling with her pup and a pretty little blue box from her favorite store. I have a busy weekend ahead, starting with a hot Dateline night this evening. I am also meeting up with a girlfriend for shopping, preparing for a trip abroad, and would love to catch up on sleep.
Here are my three weekend ideas for a cold weekend in January:
1. Write your Valentine’s cards. Who says only children can partake in sending love notes and candy to their friends? Besides the joy in sending a pretty card to your dear friends, I always love spending time in a card store. Go to your favorite paper store, or a new stationery store you have been waiting to go to, and select darling Valentine’s cards for your family and friends. Take your time writing them out, put a pretty stamp on the envelopes, and don’t forget to seal with a kiss!
2. Watch the Super Bowl this Sunday. Even if you are not a huge football fan, get excited about Super Bowl Sunday. You can always enjoy the commercials and of course, Bruno Mars performing at the half time show. Plus, it is what everyone will be talking about at the water cooler on Monday. A nice perk about living on the west coast is that Sunday football games start much earlier. More time to have a great gathering, clean up, and still get to bed at a decent hour.
3. Make a list of February goals. We move into February this Saturday and you can get the month off on the right path by establishing three or more personal goals. I have a goal sheet for each month in 2014, where I can list up to ten goals for each month. I like this approach because it keeps me focused and accountable for what I what to achieve.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend however you decide to spend it!
