Allie is one of my best friends. We have known each other since the start of high school. From those years, we have many memories together of sleepovers, school projects, an obsession with pink and Victoria Secret boxers, and played Varsity lacrosse. We even dated two best friends in high school =) She attended college in Virginia and I went to Georgia, but after college, we continued to stay close. We would meet up for shopping trips, dinners out, and once we got married enjoy date nights. Her wedding was at the beach and was one of my most favorite weddings I have ever attended. It was the perfect weekend; great weather, beautiful setting, and her mom played a drum solo at her reception! Allie and her husband even threw a fabulous goodbye party for us, as our final send-off in DC before we moved to California last August.
Allie and her husband are also huge dog lovers like us. And Allie got pregnant about three weeks before me so we have been able to share our pregnancy together, which has been amazing. She was so helpful and told me what to expect all along the way, and although I am not looking forward to sleepless nights, it will be great to know Allie will be up too and we can talk or catch up with each other in the early hours, when everyone else is asleep! I have a great group of friends from high school and feel so fortunate Allie and I have remained so close all these years.
Allie is a very talented designer. She specializes in kitchen and baths, and has a great eye for creating inviting, beautiful, and warm spaces. She is a certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler. Allie has won many awards and her designs have been featured in Washington newspapers and high-end magazines. She has also participated in the DC Design House, where designers come together redesigning a room in a home in order to raise money for Children’s National Health System. Allie work and resides in Northern Virginia, with her husband and her new baby.
As you know, my husband and I have been house hunting for months now. Until we find a home, in addition to ripping design ideas out of magazines, I spend time searching on Pinterest for home decor ideas. And this was the perfect time to introduce you to Allie. If you also love home design and beautiful spaces, you should follow Allie on Pinterest at inspiredbyallie! She has nearly 4,000 design pins! She pins often and regularly, and has amazing boards for your home design ideas. You can also find boards with her kitchen and bath projects pinned. You can also find Allie on Instagram at Allie_M_Mann sharing her latest projects and family photos. Happy pinning! Of course, if you need a kitchen or bath remodel in the DC area you would be in good hands. One day, I hope to have her design a bathroom in my home!
Congrats to Allie and her husband on their little bundle of joy!
